Tasty and beautiful smoothies are great, but my favourite ones are those that fill you in with energy, life-force, motivation, and aid to your weight control. These kind of smoothies make you feel great about yourself, feel like a champion, ready to face any challenge in the world! Yay! The smoothie recipe that I would like to share with you now does make me feel like a champion in the mornings! Like most busy people, I have trouble waking up in the mornings and picking up my energy levels right away, but this smoothie does wonders and provides an immediate wakefulness and focus! I should say that I am not a coffee drinker (although I love the invigorating smell of a freshly brewed coffee, and who doesn’t:)), but I get my coffee-buzz feeling from Yerba Mate. It is a great healthy herb, rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, which aids your digestion, enhances your concentration, and lifts up your spirit! I’ve tried it for the first time in Argentina, and ever since I am a huge fan of it! Yerba Mate is a great base for your smoothies (brew it and chill it first).
